Global Cultures project: 14 students enrolled in the Advanced Fiber Art class (Professor Barbara Westman, ART) and the International Students studying at Slippery Rock University, in the first weeks of the semester collaborated on the outdoor banner project focused on rich diversity of cultures in the world. Students discussed and learned each country history, daily life, culture, language, art, nature and more. Countries represented in this project are: Spain, Japan, Zimbabwe, South Africa, The Bahamas, Costa Rica, India, South Korea, Canada and Nepal. The outdoor banners displayed on campus present student artistic vision of the selected country.
